CincyCare will provide primary care, a prescription drug benefit, and care coordination for 2,000 workers in Cincinnati who need affordable healthcare, but currently are not eligible. Best of all, this program will come free of charge to participating employers. Employees will only pay a standard $10 co-payment for doctor visits, otherwise there are no enrollment or ongoing costs to them.

How can CincyCare be offered to employers and employees for free? Funding for the initial CincyCare pilot program will be provided using federal CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) dollars, along with private contributions from the following partners:

COVERED SERVICES:

CincyCare is not an Insurance product
CincyCare provides the following services:

Primary care at the Cincinnati Health Department Health Centers, which is limited to primary medical care and routine lab services.
Prescription drug services of a value of $100 per year and for a specific group of medications.
Care Coordination with Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky-area providers for more medically complex procedures.

CincyCare provides no coverage for hospital visits, specialty services or any other services not specifically described above.

MEMBER RESPONSIBLITIES FOR NON-COVERED SPECIALTY SERVICES AND HOSPITAL VISITS:

CincyCare members are responsible for paying for any and all services that are provided by specialists and hospital-based providers and other non-covered services.
Access to specialty services and to hospital care are subject to availability and schedules of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky-area providers.
CincyCare will make every effort to identify programs offering reduced fee services from area specialists and hospitals.
